How can Vision Therapy Help my Child?

A 60 minute 1:1 session incorporates five essential visual skills for reading readiness:

1. Eye Movements

Efficient reading requires the ability to place our eyes at the correct place at the right time.

2. Binocularity

Using both eyes together brings depth and wonder to our envisioned world.

3. Visually Directed Fine Motor

Vision therapy games develop visual accuracy for interacting with pencils, keyboards and touchscreens.

4. Coding

Written language is a series of squiggly lines encoded for meaning. We integrate movement, picture codes and sight words to joyfully extend decoding skills.

5. Visualization

The ability to hold onto information we see allows us to recall words, and imagine a world held within the pages of a book.
